We have a user who opens the ARS User client tool, then he
goes to File/Open, and the system freezes, or appears to.
The same thing happens if he clicks the burgundy clipboard.
If he types it opens the first form on his list. If
he types a few down arrows then types it opens
another form. It is as if the “Open” window is functioning,
but just not visible.

I can log in on the same computer and it works OK for me. He
can log into other computers and sometimes everything works
OK, and other times he has the same problem. This just
started happening this morning.

I checked his Preferences file and can’t find anything
strange about it.

Any suggestions?

Hi Dwayne,

We saw this - it had us baffled for ages. The window list is open, it's
just off screen! Press Alt-Space, then M (for move), one arrow direction
(to get the window moving), then move the mouse and the window should
suddenly attach to the mouse cursor.

No idea why it (sometimes) happened, I think we assumed it was something to
do with our dual screen displays but if you don't have them then perhaps
not.

Regards,

Gareth
