Chris,
Tested and worked, thanks for the input. I just have to modify the outpur
of my script to spit out to a proper format.
For others who probably need it in the future, below is the menu file format
I have in the flat file.
Microsoft\
ActiveSync1\
3.5\Microrosoft\ActiveSync1\3.5
4.5\Microsoft\ActiveSync1\4.5
5.5\Microsoft\ActiveSync1\5.5
Frontpage\
XP SP2\Microsoft\Frontpage\XP SP2
Internet Explorer\
6.0\Microsoft\Internet explorer\6.0
6.0 SP1 Hotfixes Staging\Microsoft\Internet explorer\6.0 SP1
Hotfixes Staging
6.0 SP1 STAGING\Microsoft\Internet explorer\6.0 SP1 STAGING
6.0 Staging\Microsoft\Internet explorer\6.0 Staging
SSO\Microsoft\Internet explorer\SSO

Rasmin,
The "\" format for the menu file separates lables and values.
To differentiate hierarchies, you have to use carriage returns and tabs.
So, you would have:
Microsoft
DAO.Runtime Shared Assembly
3.50\DAO.Runtime Shared Assembly 3.50
Frontpage
XP SP2\Frontpage XP SP2
Hot Fixes
Pre-SP1\Hot Fixes Pre-SP1
Hope this helps,

Subject: [ARSLIST] Menu File format
Listers,
I have issue on displaying menu which attahed to a flat file stores in the
server. The format in the file are shown below - using "\":
Microsoft\DAO.Runtime Shared Assembly\3.50 Microsoft\Frontpage\XP SP2
Microsoft\Hot Fixes\Pre-SP1
When user clicks the drop down menu, it only shows "Microsoft" all the way.
Once the users choose any of them, it populates only "DAO.Runtime Shared
Assembly\3.50" NOT "Microsoft\DAO.Runtime Shared Assembly\3.50"
Is there anyway to show the whole format using "\". It takes the whole
line if I use "/" instead of "\"
Any feedbacks are greatly appreciated.
Rasmin
