I've gotten a few ideas from reading the archives, but I wanted to throw
this out to the list to make sure I have the most updated recommendations.

We are in the process of replacing our current HP-UX ARS application server
with a NT application server. I've been tasked with coming up with some
new hardware recommendations.

The Oracle database will be on a seperate server, so this will be an ARS
5.0 application server only. On our production server, there is about 350
concurrent users on the system during peak business hours each day.

We will be purchasing IBM servers only.

1. What would you recommend for a production server (# of CPU's, Processor
Type/Speed, RAM, etc..)?
2. What would you recommend for a mid-tier server?
3. What would you recommend for a development/staging server?

I'm not really an NT person, so this will be a learning experience as
well. If anyone has any comments regarding moving to NT that would be
helpful, that would also be appreciated.

Thank you,

How much hardware you need depends on how much throughput (i.e. # of tickets and concurrent users) your system has. Provide that data, and we can get your hardware in the ballpark.
