Hi all

I am trying to use OLE Automation to launch an external application.

The OLE server is installed properly (other C/VB applications are accessing it beautifully, and the OLE test utility from Remedy support is detecting it is installed properly), but when I try to use it from the User Tool, I get the following error:

"Error fetching the requested interface object", "No such interface supported".

I tried using the OLE tester from Remedy support, and concluded the OLE is installed properly. Have anyone seen anything like this error message and can shed some light on this?

There are a few examples of OLE code on our web site including an example of OLE Excel file
manipulation by Chris Woyton (Current ARS List MVP). Maybe these can help your cause?
