After upgrading to 5.01 one of my forms is missing the core field last modified date. It's not hidden and it's not in the drop-down list when I look at it in Admin view. Any ideas on how to get it back?

Thanks

Karen,
How many views do you have on the form? A field may be excluded from the
view and if it is will not appear in the drop down list in the admin tool.
Check each view.

I ran into the same problem today. There was only one view on the form so I knew the missing field could not be on another view. The field did not show up on the drop down list in the admin tool but did show up as a choice on the results list page of the form properties. I created a new view and then was able to see the "missing" field in the new view.

Check the Form-->View --> Fields in View list. (It might be that the
field is just not on the current view.)

(It is actually possible to create a field on a form and not add it to any
views. Via the Driver program with v5.1. I don't think the admin tool will
let you do that, but the API seems to allow it. )

Sounds like this needs to be submitted to Remedy as a bug.

Oh, this happened to me when I deleted a page field with workflow on it and did not delete the workflow. The solution Stu has listed below worked for me as well.

If you click on the "Forms" menu then click "View" then "Fields in
View", does it show up on the list of fields not in the view? If so you
could add it there again. The menu structure I described is the 4.5
admin tool, but I'm assuming it is similar in 5.

Good luck,
Jamie

In my case the field did not show up in the list under the "Fields in View."
That is the first place I looked. There was only one view and I had never
removed any field from the only view that the form had.

I just tried to remove a field from the only view on a test form on my dev
system. You get a warning message that you are doing something that could
result in loss of access to the field. I would have remembered if this was
what had caused the error that I saw.

I still don't know what caused the problem on my production system but it
was easily fixed by just creating a new view that could be deleted as soon
as the missing field was put back in the original default admin view.

With three people reporting the same problem, I think there is definitely a
bug that should be reported to Remedy.

My problem may have been caused when I used Migrator to move fields from my
dev system to my production system. Jennifer's occurred when she deleted a
page field. What about you, Karen?
