Hi Guys,

I am facing a major issue of having wrong Views getting displayed on
browser. I am having HD5.0 being deployed on Mid-Tier. When I deployed the
RSM web application everything went fine no errors at all. But when I
checked the installation by logging with different users from Support and
Requester I found that wrong views are getting displayed though the
addresses are correct in the browsers address bar.

The source of the page displays name of the actual view that is displayed.

viz. When a Support Agent tries to Search a new request by clicking on the
hyper link a "wapSupport" view gets displayed instead of the "webSupport"
view.

I have checked the permission, license and the group population to be
correct.

Has anybody faced this error anytime??
Any help on that would be life saving...

Hey Sashin,

I had this same problem at one of my customer sites not more than 2 weeks
ago.

Since I could not really see what was going wrong, the obvious thing I did
was delete the WAP view. But before doing this I backed up only the 'view
definition' (in ARS 5 onwards you can report views to a def files instead of
the whole form)

Then on deleting the WAP view, I redeployed the RSMweb application via the
Mid-Tier config. This helped me. I know that this is just a workaround, but
it worked for me.

Hi Shashin,

My collegue Joe wrote before me about the solution, but even though there is possiblity of going to thw wrong view from some of the client machines so the detailed solution I had posted few days back on the list which you can find in the archive and I am sure that will work, because thats not actually the professional way of solving the issue but it worked perfectly for me, well have a great time with Mid-tier .

Thanks for that just one more thing before I get doing the same thing for
my client. When a support agent clicks on details in the requester console
he gets to see the webSupport view though the AL redirects to the
webRequester view which also gets displayed on the address bar. The same
thing works fine for the Requester. For some customised workflow I need it
to display the webRequester view.
Just one more thing this behaviour is not consistent on different machines.

Nice to hear that you are from Bombay, its a small world. Well things are

Yes,

This was the same thing we noticed at one of our customers sites. We failed to see a steady trend on why some machines showed all the right views and why some didn't. I guess we can attribute it at this stage at some of the inconsistencies in the product, it being relatively new in design. Lets hope version 5.1 has a better edge than its predecessor. I hear great things about it.
