Hi All,
One of my user trying to connect to remedy database from MS Access 2000
using Remedy ODBC Driver (5.00.01.11) and getting "ODBC - Call Failed, You
have no access to field (#9055)" error. The user id and password, which she
was using, is just for reporting purpose. I thought that user id may not
have access to all the fields, so I used my (admin) user id and password,
but still getting the same error. Any help on this is appreciated.

ARS 5.00.01
Oracle 8.1.7
UNIX AIX 4.3
MS Access 2000
Remedy ODBC Driver 5.00.01.11

(We were using MS ODBC driver in the past, but after upgrading to ARS
5.0.1, Microsoft ODBC is not working anymore, as it doesn't support CLOB
fields, ARS 5.0.1 upgrade changed LONG fields to CLOB.)
Thanks in advance for your help.
-Jeevan

Jeevan:

Check the permissions on the affected field. You may need to add Group
Public just to see if the problem 'goes away'. If it does, contact
Peregrine and let them know about this.

James,
Problem is that, I am not able to figure out which field is that, because
error just says "You have no access to field" and doesn't give the field
number. I think this is not the permissions problem, it works fine when we
open the form just after setting up the ODBC DSN name and it doesn't work
after we close the MS Access and again open it.
One of my user is using same setup on Win NT, it's working fine for her. I
think it has got some thing to do with Win 2000. I and the user who is
getting the problem are on Win 2000. I have opened a ticket with Peregrine.
Thanks
