Well, Problem solved! It turned out that the Admin tool that I was using (pre patch 1138) was corrupting the Status Field (ID 7 ) when converting it to a web view. It was making all of the alias values in the attributes the same, this was evidently enough to fix the problem! We then ran into some similar issues with patch 1138 that caused us to blow away the form, and restore it from backup from the morning without the web views. Once we did that Remedy supplied us with patch 1143 (which is not generally relaeased yet) and re-converted the form and you know what???? It worked!!!!

Now my boss has decided that he likes what he sees so much, that he wants a clientless environment! We have put my migration to 5.x for next Monday night off for 3 weeks while we convert our HD appl to a web environment! I don't think I'm very happy about this. All of our 2nd level support folks will be using the web tool. Our HD will stay on the client (as will I). Anybody else out there using this environment? What are your feelings. Any gotchas that I should be looking for?

Enquiring minds want to know!

TIA!

I hate for this to be a me, too. But, me too. I, too have a ticket into
Peregrine. The problem is, its intermittent. I can clear my internet
cache, close the browser, relaunch the same config.jsp page and login
without a problem the 2nd time.

I also receive a "Page not found" when launching one of my forms. I will
use the same URL again and the page displays. This is way too flaky. Go
figure.

Windows 2K, IIS 5
Browswer IE 6.0
Mid-Tier 5.01

My two cents,
Chelle

I am trying to solve the problem myself as well I have opened the icket with

Subject: Mid Tier problem

I am running the Mid Tier piece on a P3 Dual 700Mhz server with 512 Meg of
ram. We have Remedy 5.01 server loaded on it. It is using the New Atlanta
ServletExec 4.1 ISAPI. Currently the Mid Tier piece is unlicensed.
I converted my main HD form into a Relative Web Page for giggles but
whenever I try to access it I get the following error message after logging
in:

Error. The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it
from fulfilling the request.

Well, dont do it if you can't get the calender functionality working. Unless you go to work in a bullet proof jacket! Apparently the date field issue around the Mid-Tier is a show stopper at most sites, as where ever there is a modification where there are dates such as proisory dates etc to be filled in, not having the calender to put the dates in is a *&^%*() pain in the *^&^....

Well there is a workaround available by adding a calender widget and has been implemented at a few sites and tried out successfully. Personally I haven't tried it out yet, so if you can get that working, I do not see anything else that could really be a show stopper. The other issues are relatively smaller and can be lived with...
