I know it's an old version of flashboards, but we are running ARS 4.5.2 on
solaris, and I'm not sure that the new version works with that version of
ARS.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do a non-root install of flashboards?
We already have flashboards setup on our reports server, but it is installed
at root, and as we don't have super-user access, it is quite difficult to
fix problems.

Your ideas are appreciated.

FB 5 will not work with ARS 4.5.2 for the simple reason you cannot define flashboard fields on ARS 4.5.2 forms. Its only a feature available on ARS 5.x

What kind of problem are you having with the non root install?
