Does anyone need browser based HTML editor? If so - go to http://www.garbuz.com/ve/ and try this one.

Visual Editor is a WYSIWYG html editor, which allows you to manage the content of your web pages easily and quickly. In fact if you are familiar with Microsoft Word™ you will feel right at home. Although it was designed to be a part of Visual Site Manager, now it is a separate product that can be installed and used in any kind of web application, including PHP, ASP, JSP or ColdFusion based applications.

The main purpose of Visual Editor was to provide Visual Site Manager users with a simple and convenient tool that would allow them to manage the page content without any HTML knowledge.

The first version of Visual Editor had very limited set of functions. It allowed users to type in the simple text information and change the format of the text by making selected areas bold and italic.

Next version of Visual Editor where developed as a standalone module, which can be easily included not only in Visual Site Manager but in any web based application. Because it was written in HTML and JavaScript completely and doesn't use any server side technology, it makes installation process easy and fast. All you have to do is just place all files into the folder on your site and than call them from your application. Version 2.0 had its own JavaScript API, that could be used to customize Visual Editor properties from your application and adjust it for your needs.

Beginning from version 3.0 Visual Editor users where able not only format simple text and insert hyperlinks, but also insert and modify images in visual mode, insert special characters such as paragraph symbol or copyright symbol. But the biggest enhancement was ability to create and edit tables. This functionality was added since version 3.0.

Now using Visual Editor you can:

* Create and edit content of your site easily and quickly
* Change the formatting of your content in a few minutes and you don't have to know HTML
* Change the color of the text and background
* Insert and delete hyperlinks
* Inset images and change image properties in visual mode
* Insert HTML special characters such as ¶ and ©
* Insert and edit tables

And much more

However, Visual Editor has some limitations. Because Internet Explorer is the only browser that support all DHTML standards, Visual Editor will work only in Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.

Just as a side note, to keep things Remedy focused, we've actually integrated the visual editor piece of this with the remedy user tool... (a view field). We use it for content management on our intranet site. It works very nicely!!
