I've had this problem for a long time. We have an AREA server that only allows 3 tries. Passwords are changed on a weekly basis and this generates remedy problems. Whenever someone changes their password, the remedy server doesn't allow you to log in, whichever password you use. Then, when you log out of the computer and try to get in again, you can't come in again without your account being unlocked.

Now, we would all expect this to be cool after a while, but no, it usually takes about 25 minutes before you can get into Remedy properly again...

This is more of an issue then you might think, especially for our quick response teams...

I did hear about something like this once - Used to be that sometimes ARS would try and log-in several times per actual log-in attempt ( I think it was 3 times ) Which would account for the locking of the account. To be honest I cannot remember why - a feature I think - you could try increasing the log-in attempts limit to test it..
