On version 4.5.2, when using the Import definition in the Admin tool, have you had success using the 'import in place' for a form? Were there any corruption issues? It appears from the manual that the data will be deleted so that can be planned for, but it was not clear about the workflow and whether it stays in place. I have a form with view modifications that I'd like to import.
