I have a urgent problem on configuring notification thru firewall. I have configured the notifier port followed the instructions in server admin guide. Here is the nfy.cfg file:
TCD-Specific-Port: 0
Notifier-Specific-Port: 1062
Notifier-Outbound-Port: 1072
Register-With-Portmapper:T

I also set the environment variables NTTCPPORT and NTTCPCLIENTPORT in client machine and the ports are opened for both direction. It is ok to login to the notifier server-- no error presented when login, but no notification was received from client. I run the ntservd.exe in -d mode and found the following error:

011221155506- 2592: SendNotification(samsonkao:10.18.1.186:1034) Type:2
011221155506- 2592: socket read error occurred(10054).
011221155506- 2592: Read ack from socket for 10.18.1.186 failed
