Our Emerging I/T Solutions group here at Cargill has been asked by
management to perform an analysis on the impact that the merger between
Remedy and Peregrine will have on our ARS implementation here. I've
sat down with them and told them from a technical side all that I know,
but I thought I would throw this question out to the list to see if
anybody had some positive or negative things to say about what they
have seen with the merger so far.

One rumor that we have heard is that Peregrine isn't willing to
negotiate support prices and/or license costs. I've heard that you pay
what they ask you to pay, no exceptions. Is this true? Will prices
increase significantly?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Anders,

I am not sure about the price increase but I can tell you for a fact that
they will not budge on support or license costs. If you play around with
them you will have a heck of a time getting support or license help even
after you pay. I am not sure if this helps but we are still paying the price
for playing the negotiation game.

I think a lot of price negotiation depends on who you deal with. My former
director and I were able to successfully negotiate a lower price for our
licenses when we were in the purchasing phase. Remedy Support helped me and my
former company the same courteous and quick way they did when I was working for
other companies.
