On average, how long does it take to upgrade from 4.0.5 to 4.5.2 on a
solaris box, doing the upgrade option? I think it took about 30 minutes.

The goal right now is to upgrade both Oracle to 8.1.7 and Remedy 4.5.2 in
under 3 hours.

Average time for our 4.0.x to 4.5.2 upgrades has been 20-30 mins.

If you're already on Oracle 8.1.5 or .6, you should be able to get to 8.1.7
in well under two hours.

You are right.
The ARS uprgrade ofcourse depents how big is your aplication, but we have
bigger one about 150 forms and it tooks about 30 min from 4.0.3 to 4.5.2.
Yesterday evening our Oracle specialist did upgrade on Customer site 8.1.6
- 8.1.7. He was under presure time and it took about 2 hours with some
preparings.
