I would like to make some additional comments concerning Dan's remarks
(comments on the spam ad).
I don't post to the List very often but do receive a lot of help just
reading the daily posts. One disadvantage of getting the list in Digest
format is that usually individuals like Joe DeSouza, Jarl Groneng, Gidd, Pat
Zandi, etc. provide great answers before the Digest is sent out.
In the last couple of months, I have posted a couple of general questions to
the list. These questions were nothing really earth shattering but just
general questions. Within 4 hours of each post, I had received email from 2
different consultants attempting to sell me their services concerning the
issues that I had just posted to the list. I immediately sent email to
these individuals asking to be removed from their list.
At the time, I basically over looked it as a fluke but based on Dana and
Dan's comments I am not so sure. Just to clarify, in my case the emails
were sent directly to me and not to the list. It seems that a rare few
consultants are not using the list directly to promote their services but
are lurking and targeting specific individuals posting to the list.

Dave,
Thanks for the compliment, sometimes I feel guilty of cluttering my fellow
Listers mailboxes with all that technical blah blah and wonder how many
people will actually read it, but that little line in your mail works as
some good source of encouragement to me.
Thanks once again.
Cheers

I heard this and was more than shocked to learn what frustrated minds can do to us unsuspecting people. I fully support the people of America and I'm sure my country (India) too supports your cause...
