If you answered your phone this morning (as I did) and the caller said he was Steve Gardner,
would you know who was calling, and if so would you believe it?

Fortunately my memory worked, but I wasn't quite sure if I should believe it.

Steve Gardner is the CEO (etc.etc.) of Peregrine System, Inc.
He attended RUG 2001 and gave the "Keynote" speech and then he and Larry Garlick took questions from the audience and gave (good, in my opinion) answers.

He was just calling to share a thank you with me for some first-hand information that I shared with Remedy + Peregrine about a sales call I had received from a competitor - relating what the competitor claimed were the woes, or what would be the fate of Remedy customers.

The fact that the CEO and Chairman of Peregrine took the time to call someone he'd never met (and we're NOT a big customer) reinforces my expectation the, in fact, the AR System is in good hands.

Some of you may also be encouraged by this.

from Senior VPs at Remedy in response to input I've given (see: Support
- the last couple of years). They've always seemed genuinely interested
in identifying and solving problems that keep them from serving their
customers. I'm glad to see that Peregrine's leadership seems to have
that same hands-on approach. We'll have to wait to see to what level it
continues after the two companies go from engaged to married.
