Sorry I got it off GeoCities early !! I am setting up my site to pass files, I should ask Mark Blankenship if he can host on his site?
It is really a great little app and seems like everyone has Word on their system although I have not tested it with '97.
I have a copy of 0.6.0 and it is 2.8+ Mb in size (zip file), how can I help?
Gidd

Hi,
Did Ashraf ever find another website to host his applications?? I've only got his geocities.com website, and can't download the full EzWord app (drops out at about 95k).... Gidd, where did you get a copy?? I wouldn't mind testing this myself :)
Thanks,
Gareth

Subject: *** ERRORS *** EzWord Part MCXVII

Ash:
Wow, finally figured it out! :-) I noticed that WinWord kept showing up
multiple times in task manager for every instance that I tried running an
export. This led me to believe that there was a problem with the code
opening WinWord... not being too familiar with VB (enough to be considered
dangerous) everything looked like it should work. I ran a test by creating
an ACCESS form with a cmd button which, when pressed, has OLE for word2k.
When I pressed the button it came up with an error "The message filter
indicated that the application is busy". Being resourceful, I checked out
Microsoft TechNet and found an article which states there is a bug with
WINWORD and the WINWORD plug-in for Norton Anti-Virus2k. The fix for it is
as follows:
1. From the Start menu, click Run.
2. Type the following command (including quotes) on the Run line (change
the path to the file as needed):
regsvr32 /U "C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\OfficeAV.dll"
Note that you receive a dialog box stating that the command succeeded.
In some cases, you may need to rename the oleaut32.dll and reinstall Office
2000. To rename oleaut32.dll, it is usually necessary to boot into MS-DOS
mode because more than likely the Operating System has the file locked.
MicroSHAFT strikes yet again, you gotta love those guys....NOT !
Regards...Gidd
