I have a menu A attached to a field B.

The menu attachment has always had $MENU$ specified
under Pattern.

Today, I have unspecified the $MENU$ by deleting it and leaving the
"Pattern" field blank
......not to limit the field to Only the menu items.

The impact is that this freezes the User Tool for an unknown reason.

No user is able to do anything after the above sequence of events.

Any body familiar with the cause of this peoblem ?

Please help.
