Seasons greetings all

Can anyone offer some advice? I've got a new installation of CRM 4.4 and
the client wants to use AR Web 4 to access it (not CRM Web). The problem is
that many of the active links perform set focus actions and call Bay
binaries to populate the CRM Coach, and these features don't work with AR
Web.

As I see it, my only option is to duplicate all the workflow, removing these
actions, and test the client with $VERSION$ to see which version of the
workflow to use. But, there's an awful lot of workflow to duplicate and
amend. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how I might be able to
disable these features for a web client?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi, David.

If 'Remedy Web' is an option at all, you may want to consider it.

There's far better workflow support in Remedy Web when compared to ARWeb.

Active Link actions that launch programs or run other processes on the
client, $PROCESS$, OLE, and DDE are NOT supported in Remedy Web. However,
most everything else WILL work.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Eric - but I don't think it will make too much difference whether we
choose AR Web or Remedy Web - how about over 1700 active links with DDE
actions for a start??

I'll wear my coding fingers out!!! I was hoping someone had come across a
clever way of doing something with business rules to avoid a long and
tedious manual process which will also dramatically slow down form open
times.

1700 active links with DDE?!

I'm going to have nightmares. Maybe you should seek counseling, in advance?

Best of luck!
