I have a form on which I wish to place a currency field and have it
display with a leading $.

I have looked in the documentation and in the archives, but I see no
mention of how to do this.

If I use a Decimal type field I can specify the cents portion by setting
percision to 2. When defined this way Remedy displays the number with
commas in the appropriate places for large numbers and the period to
separate the dollar and cents, but how do I specify the $.

It sounds dumb -- and it doesn't look much better -- but I put my dollar
signs at the far right end of the labels and put the labels to the left of
the fields.

I sure hope there's a better way than *that*, however.... ;-]

Janet,

This is not a dumb idea. Remedy is not like Access where you can select
a field format from a template, I wish. I use the same technique you
suggest, it is less headache in the long run.
