The JSP engine on the install media is 'bad'. If you install a 'good' JSP
engine and then install ARWeb, the product will 'see' the JSP engine and not
try to reinstall it from the install media. There is a good chance that a
patch might be available on Remedy's web site.

Lawrence,

I had the same troubles not too long ago. After checking out the
InstallShield web site and putting some things together (including hacking
out all the text strings in the setup.ins), it appears that remedy put
together their own installation package for ServletExec.

The error -145 means the InstallDir variable isn't set correctly, as you'll
notice when you try to setup, and it doesn't prompt for an installation
target directory. Oddly enough, the Remedy specific text strings in the .ins
are essentially "Remedy recommends installing to the default directory".

This all tells me someone over there blew it :)

I've put a ServletExec 2.2 installation on our FTP site at

ftp://ftp.allegiant-tech.com/ServletExec_ISAPI_2_2c.exe

Grab it from there, remove the HKEY\Software\New Atalanta key from the
registry, run the ServletExec install then reinstall ARWeb and you should be
fine.

Hope this helps,
