Hello Listers:
Recently we had few Win2K clients installed in addition to our existing mix
of NT/Win9x base. I am finding out that not all things are being equal. I
have a control button that executes AL "Run Process" action with following
syntax:
cmd /K "START /MIN http:////index.html"
This works fine on NT4.0 (I have a diffrent syntax for Win9x) but errors
out on Win2K w/this message:
"The following specific error(s) occured when executing START /MIN
http:////index.html
Details:
The system cannot find the file specified"
I run the ASSOC command from the DOS prompt and noticed that file type
association is OK i.e.:
.....
.htm=htmlfile
.html=htmlfile
......
Also when I run FTYPE the output contains:
htmlfile="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
When I run:
cmd /K "START /MIN http:////index.html"
from the command line (dos window) it works fine.
I checked another machine and confirmed that problem to exist there as well.
All comments welcome. Thanks in advance.
