A month ago I installed ARS 451 on a HP-UX server and the Admin and User Tool on a Win 95 PC.

The response times are terribly slow :
- when I click on an Active Link in the Admin Tool, it takes about 25 seconds to open the Modify AL window...
- when I type a help text in the help tab of an object (AL for example), I can type a whole sentence of 10 words, and, when it is finished, the letters appear one at a time (the rate is about 5 letters per second...)
- and everything is slow...

Have you experienced such a behavior ??
What could explain it ?

I`ve seen this before, one of our servers....

It had to do with poor network response time and bad configuration of SGA
parameters in Oracle (init.ora)
