As far as creating the archive db structure, you could 'save form as' in the
admin tool. Then, export the records you want to archive from your
overflowing form. Then, import into your newly created archive form.

To query old and new data: Why not use a join form to search against your
current and archive data? - Presuming your data is in an AR table.

Now, if the issue is that you need to get that extra data OFF that physical
disk, it gets more complicated as it depends on the underlying db.

Good luck.

Subject: DB for old data

Hello Listers,

Our Remedy DB is sizing 2GB and we want to export some old data (only used
sometimes for report queries) to another DB because it´s getting too large
and soon may impact on performance. I´d like to know if Remedy application
can access more than one database on queries and/or if someone else has
another suggestions of how to create an separated database for old data.

Thanks,
