I a running a fairly small shop, and I am torn by the decision of whether or
not to purchase the $12,000 add-on. Is it worth it? I use Web based
knowledge base and Intranets for broadcasting status to different
departments, but it seems like a lot of money to lose active links and have
things be web based...Please let me know what you as AR WEB user think about
it, and can recomment the expenditure.

If you don't need to run the full client on the web, here's a better
idea. Spend $2000, go to RUG, and see a web system based on ARSPerl (free),
which runs on Apache Web server (also free), and looks better and runs more
efficiently than AR Web ever thought of. If you have the expertise to
install and configure Apache and Perl (if I can do it, you probably can),
you can run this.

If you'd like a preview, go to http://raq1.geoffe.com/arsperlweb/,
and follow the instructions on the page. It's not perfect, but is a good
place to start. The author is Geoff Endresen, who will also be presenting
it with Jarl Groneng at RUG. Don't miss it!!
