fields. They are probably best used as Variable data holders to help
control actions during Active Links. They can also be used to display
lookup data and display it without having to save it, reducing the need for
storage space.

I'm guessing this is a Dumb Question.. But here goes..
I know on a Display only form, you cannot use TR or DB value to for
the Run If.
But I Thought you could use actual value on the screen ..
Am I Wrong.. ? I Am Thinkin that I am..
I created a Display only form, and was hoping to use the values in the form
as defaults
as a way to Qual or Run if - my way to success.

Terrence,
I understand that part.. But I for some reason Keep trying to do a
Run IF on Fields
on the Active links hoping they will work..
So what your saying is even if there are values in the fields you
are using
you cannot use (run if) for the active link to fire/notfire in your
display only form.
what a Drag.

I was using the radio buttons as values..
new, Open , Closed
0 1 2
for my run if.. and Values cannot be used from What I can Tell..
you have to be Specific to get it to fire...
My Problem was they were all firing.. so I thought..
hmmm either I cannot do this. or. I found a Bug. or Im just
being a Dimwhit.
I was just being a Dimwhit.. Case Closed.

and escalations that set and utilize display only fields on many different
schema. Never been a problem.
The only thing to watch out for is transaction phases. If you do a push
fields, make sure the data in the display only fields remains static to the
end of the transaction, or the new data placed after the push will be pushed
in the 2nd phase of the transaction.
Thanks,
Roy
