I had a problem getting mine to work and the cause turned out to be real simple - though it took Remedy and me a LONG time to figure out.

We had the same problem when we upgraded to 4.0. We got around the issue by
stopping and starting arsystem as root in Unix.

My sysadmin guy changed the IP address and network of my Remedy server last
night. Everything seems to be working fine except for the notifier tool.
The email notifications are working fine, but the actual notification tool
is not receiving any messages.

We checked the notification error logs, but there were not any updates since
we restarted the server last night.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Can we restart
just the notification process?
