One of my REMEDY users receives error message when she launches Remedy - "Windows cannot start more than one copy of this program."
User rebooted several times. Didn't work.
User has no Remedy running in task list.
User has deleted Remedy folders, HOME and REMEDY.
She re-installed Remedy,
The user has the same problem.
User added that Notifier works.

Any help or suggestions are, as always, greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all and have a happy, healthy, and safe New Year's.

what it is called in NT.

Check the system tray (I think that's what it's called) in the Task Bar.
Look for a User Tool symbol. Right click it and close the executable.

I assume this is a pre-4.n user tool. In 4.0 and later, because of the "new
and improved" 32-bit behavior, you can run multiple instances of both User
and Admin tools without problems.

At least, I can.

I remember something similar to this happening to one of the users in my
organization. I think the solution is to go to control panel and double click
on the regional settings icon. Change to another region and click apply.
Change back to your original regional setting and click apply. Attempt to start
the AR Client.

Hope this helps.
