I know from previous questions that a couple of you have modified the Remedy
User form. This question is for all of you!

We just loaded Remedy 4.0.2 onto another server, MSSQL 6.5 (I think) or 7.0.
When you load Remedy, it of course loads the normal, unaltered User schema.

What is the best way to incorporate the changes that we have made to the
other schema? Remedy said that we have to manually add all form changes to
the form on the new server (fields), while making sure that we use the field
ids that were established on the old server. Then we can import the modified
workflow from the old server to the new. What about Ostream?

Hopefully I explained it right so that it made sense.

Thanks for any help. (I'd have to say that this is another reason not to
change the User schema, but it's too late now).

useful. It's a command line program and a bit cryptic, so not for the faint
of heart. But it can be used to apply changes from the .def file of your
old User form to the new one.

It doesn't do data, however. You'd have to use ARImport for that (but be
careful not to delete the admin account)

In theory, Ostream should work for this as well, but I've never tried it
personally.
