Knowledge Id : 000000000002875
Product : ARS
Product Version : 3.2
KB Question (short) : How to enable active link and macro logging in AR 3.2.
Knowledge Base Answers : IMPORTANT NOTE: Leaving the active link or macro
logging on when you are not troubleshooting will cause the User tool to run
slower and continue to write to the log files, using up disk space. Set
Active Link=0 and Macro=0 to turn them off.

PC
Edit the arhome\ar.ini file and add in the following values:

[Debug]
Active Link=1
Macro=1
Active Link File=\
; = aractlnk.log if not specified
; = arhome if not specified
Macro File=\
; = armacro.log if not specified
; = arhome if not specified

ON UNIX
Edit the /arHome/config file and add the following values:
-------------------------------------------------
Debug-Active-Link:1
Debug-Active-Link-File:/

Debug-Macro:1
DebugMacro-File:/

*filename is overwritten with each login.

Yes, add the following entries into your ar.ini file:
[Debug]
Active Link=1

Each time you open the User Tool it will create a file in your Home
directory called Aractlnk.log.
You have to close the tool to review the results, using windows explorer.
When you don't need to capture results, change the value to 0; otherwise it
can choke your system after awhile.
