Good Afternoon,

We are looking at archiving closed records for a custom app (main form plus auxillary (ex audit trial with multiple records)) forms a Solaris 10 server, Oracle 10g database, Remedy 7.1 (patch 6).

The two methods being considered are the internal archiving forms and DSO. The following assumtions are being made:

(1) the archived forms will reside on the same server as the live production records

(2) the main record will have the status of Closed

(3) the auxillary form records have the main record identifier (ex Case ID) but do not necessarly have the Closed Date or Status of Close fields on them

(4) the archiving time period will be by fiscal year not calendar year.

I would appreciate any input/suggestions.
