In the download section of this site (Thanks to Matt ), you can find the last version of an application I have developped. The summary of this application has not been updated. So you can find the functionnalities bellow :

The Advanced Admin Tool (UNIX & Oracle for all functionnalities) allows you to :

* Change the members of a join form without loosing fields. (Oracle)
* Change the form of a table field without loosing columns.
* Cleanup table fields (like arclean).
* Rebuild indexes on different tablespace. (Oracle)
* Compute statistics for indexes. (Oracle)
* Indexes conversion normal <--> bitmap. (Oracle)
* Move form tables on different tablespace. (Oracle)
* Compute statistics on forms tables. (Oracle)
* Change the form of an Open Windows action without loosing fields mapping.
* Cleanup Open Windows action (like arclean)
* Configure your AR System server with the user tool (aruser 5.1.2 for full functionnalities due to a bug in previous versions) (UNIX)
* No need to restart the AR System server to appply the modifications. New!
* A Workflow Cleaner. It's detects unused wokflow and allows you to delete the unused workflow. New!
* A Data Cleaner. It allows you to do a fast delete of all data of selected forms and reset the Next ID. New!
* The Server Events search interface is now included. New!
* It's now a deployable application to an easier installation. New!

The Advanced Admin Tool 3.2 for AR System 7.0 has just been finished... I will update the documentation soon...

New functionnalities :
* All configuration parameters of AR System 7.0 are available with their help.
* New design.
* Each user can choose a prefered image for the header. (For fun )
* View management (Oracle) : display the list of existing view and their status (valid or invalid), compile view(s), drop view(s), create view, modification of existing view.
* Permissions corrected. (just 5 fields )
* Bug corrected if a join form have just one field.

The version 3.3 is alive!!!

Just some performance improvements...

I use now the dbms_stats package instead of analyze sql command...

It has not been easy to find how to execute this package without any errors...

Added today to the version 3.3 :
* An interface to change for multiple fields and multiple forms the QBE Match option of character fields...

Is this version not applicable to 5.5

I have adapt it for AR System 7.0.1. I start developping this application on AR System 5.0.1. Now it's a deployable application. So, AR System 6 is required. I think it's possible to modify this one to readapt it to AR System 5.x

The last version is now available on the download section of this site...

WARNING :

If you want to import this application on a pre 7.0 AR System server, you need to modify first the def file :
1 - Change all submitter fields to 30 characters.
2 - Change all assigned to fields to 30 characters.
3 - Cahnge all last modified by fields to 30 characters.
4 - Delete the full text option line for the attachment field on the VRI:Image form.

Sorry, it's not is the documentation...

I have tried to do the changes described in your posting and import the definitions to a 6.3 server afterwards but without success. Most probably I didn't change everything or I changed it wrongly. Could you describe what exactly to change for one of the above given places as an example?
