Hi All,

I am getting RPC error in the mid tier log(Apr 14, 2009 6:25:07 AM - SEVERE (com.remedy.log.WEBSERVICES) : AxisFault : ARERR [91] RPC call failed : ONC/RPC call timed out). But i am able to ping both AR System server and mid tier server.

This error is getting logged very frequently in the log file(2 or 3 times in an hour) but server is not completely down.

I have searched the previous posts and the possible solutions they have provided are

1. To set specific RPC port
2. To increase memory for undo logs

will it resolve RPC error?

Has anybody faced this kind of error and what is the solution to recify this error?

Server details:

Application Server:

AR System Server 7.1.0 Patch 2
Windows Server 2003

Mid Tier Server:

Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit
Remedy Mid-Tier 7.1.0 Patch 2
IIS Web Server
Sun Java SDK 1.4.2+, 5.0 Update 13
Tomcat Servlet Exec 5.x

Hi Radhika,

Do try to set specific RPC port. It should work.
