Can anyone advise on how to notify Alternate Approvers when we first enter the Approval Process?
I have played with AP:Notification and can send emails once we are past the primary Approval but I cant see where I can get them notified at the same time as the primary Approvers.
or is this a workflow issue - eg create an active link/filter ?

I am having same issue. Could you please let us know how you resolved?
I tried creating a record in AP:Notification. But when I create that Original approver is getting two notifications one the OTB approver notification and the other one is alternate approver notification also.

When you set the notifications (in AP Server Settings) on New Signature to "Enabled Including Alternate" it should send notifications to the Alternate.

But apparently something in SRM 2.2 Patch 002 is broke so it is not working the way it was supposed to be.

BMC has a defect - SW00333006 for those of you who are interested.
