Hi, i just need to know if i cna install itsm 7.0 in a oracle 9I, or i really need oracle 10 G ???

i only install it to show something for my boss, and i don't need performance in this installation ..

ITSM 7 installation is working on both database versions...

Ask your DBA set the SGA Size to min 250 and max 850.

Look at the white paper about Oracle cursor_sharing with BMC Remedy AR System.

When i start the installation, and the window is asking me for Connetc to oracle Database:

Remote or Local

for me its remote, and thats asking me for the oracle connect string ?

what i enter here ?
my tnsname is modified correctly ...

If the Oracle is on the same machine as where you install Remedy then it is local and you will use a TWO-TASK variable
If it is on a different machine (basically meaning Different IP) then you'll use the SID

Check SHARE:Application_Properties
Search for you assignment engine (If it's installed) in the properties and change the version from 7.00.01 to 7.0 Do the installation of all the apps and rollback (change it back to 7.00.01)

For Object store is the same thing
Change the version of is to 2.0.0

It's not documented, not that I know of, so remember it :-)

Yes, you can install the CMDB from the CDMB patch.

The CMDB and Assignment engine must be installed prior to Incident Management.
