Greetings to all ..

I have a big perfomance problem with the Admin Tool ( Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server ) V 7.0.0.1 Patch 002 / ITSM 7.X ( all modules ) / Oracle 10 x / VMware / ESX Server

When i open an active link it takes a long time ( 50 seconds an more !! ) The Admin Tool ( aradmin.exe ) goes up to 99 % in CPU , but only for activ links . When i open a filter , is normal ( 1-2 seconds ) .

Developer Cache Mode is on .. Server an DB Performance is OK , no workload !! Network traffic is OK

Last week i open a call on BMC ... no response ...

Please help me .....

How much memory are you allocating to the DB and how much to ARServer? I had a similar problem with ARS 6.3 and SQL 2000, I've allocated 50% (500Mb) to the SQL server, and this seemed to fix the problem. The thing that slowed mine down was disk usage (swapping) because it did not have enough memory.

Hi...

I have seen the nearly the same.
* ITSM70 in VMware ESX 3.x
* external oracle database

* good performance for the end-user (aruser and midtier)
* terrible performance in aradmin for all objects

Tuning tried
* db is running ok
* nettwork is ok
* memory and cpu with the arserver VM is ok
* still saving work from aradmin is slow as a turtle (often times out)

At the moment we have no "medicine" for the administrator, but the endusers are "healthy".

Hi Quick

BMC has accepted this Admin Tool BUG . There are 2 open issues for this problem . But i have find two little workarounds ..

In the admin tool use the view -> List . Not Details !!
Work in the admin tool over the application tree
