Hi I download and am using Remedy Outlook Def files on my 5.1.2 ARS from Remedy Outlook Form.zip from http://www.buoyantsolutions.net/Download_OLE.html.Author: Remedy
All OLE/COM Active Links were created on Windows 2000, Microsoft Outlook 2000. All of which I am still using too.

It is all working fine, however, when adding a New Contact from the OLE Active Link the default example is Home Address and Home Phone. I would like to add more to the contact details, like Email Address and Business Phone, Address etc.

I haven't got any OLE experience and just one example in the Remedy Manual so its really confusing. I've tried copying from the example Active Link that is already there but I can't find where all the Methods and Objects are located. I need to get the OLE Automation Active Link to be like example below;
Methods¬
m Application
m Active Inspector
m Current Item
m BusinessTelephoneNumber¬
Parameters¬
rhs:: Type -> BSTR¬
?$Business Phone$

Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks n advance

Hi,

You can find the field name in outlook as below (it's a translation of outlook 2003 french menus, I don't know if it's the good one) :
1 - Open a new contact.
2 - Choose in the menu Tools -> Forms -> Modify this form.
3 - Right clic of a field and select properties option.
4 - Use this field name in your OLE method. You have to use the same that you can find in the example.

Thanks for replying Vincent.

Now I can find the Outlook Contact fields in the OLE Active Link, e.g for BusinessTelephoneNumber I chose from the Objects folder in the Type Library Information;
_ContactItem Object¬
Methods¬
m void BusinessTelephoneNumber (BSTR rhs)

What I can't find is where the relevant methods;
m Application
m Active Inspector
m Current Item

are located which I need to add into the Parameter List before I add the
m void BusinessTelephoneNumber (BSTR rhs)

Any help would be great.

Cheers

My numerous friends are very smart in this sphere. But I suppose this trouble might resolve with the reliable instrument just like next software, which I fortunately observed at one soft blog. This software aided me for short time and forced to forget about my problem which is so similar to this - 2003 pst recover fix.
