Long term contracts, 1099 only, @ $25-40/hr.
Essential Job Functions:
The Network Operations Remedy platform administrator will be responsible for administering and maintaining the Remedy platform that serves Trouble Management and Change Management for Network Operations across Divisions, Regions and Corporate within client; The successful candidate will participate as a team member in streamlining processes and providing input to process governance committee members on enablement options within Remedy across future releases; Job will require functional and technical knowledge of Remedy to quickly implement new modules and upgrade existing systems.
Job Requirements:
Responsibilities include working with the Network Operations team to identify opportunities for improving the existing implementation of Remedy for Trouble and Change Management; The responsibilities also include managing the maintenance of configuration data within the platform that drives workflow within the platform; This would entail working with the group Manager to establish a process framework to take enhancement requests, configuration data input, user and group assignment; Once the enhancement request/configuration data input requests come in, one key responsibility will be to assess the level of effort required, provide feedback to the requester, assess if the policy entails that the enhancement are implemented by the Operations team or the platform engineering team and then to implement the changes if they are deemed operations responsibilities; The right candidate will also be well versed in reporting technologies and will be required to report on statistics evident in the Trouble tickets and Change requests from across Clients operations footprint; The job calls for strong interpersonal skills to work with end-users to gather requirements, suggest solutions, troubleshoot problems and support business needs; Remedy platform responsibilities will include maintenance and administration of complete applications, including forms, workflow, reports etc., within the Remedy architecture allowing; Job will require functional and technical knowledge of Remedy to assist in quickly implementing new modules and upgrading the existing system.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years experience with the Remedy ARS platform (5.x and later); Experience with ARS Remedy architecture and its applications (HelpDesk/Change Modules); Exposure to following technical areas: Systems S/W design, S/W development, Quality Assurance, System requirements, integration, and networking; Knowledge of various OS platforms (Unix, Windows); Experience to development of reports; Experience with working in a Service Provider environment (Cable Industry) a plus; B.S. in Computer Science; Proactive, can-do attitude with excellent analytic skills; Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Ability to work in a team environment; Travel 10%
