Hi,

I've managed to import an assets file through the Remedy Import, to the BMC:BMC_NetworkPrinter (And to BMC:CMB_ComputerSystem too).
Now I want to relate assets to users in the program, is there a way of doing its by Import and not manually through the Asset's record (From the people tab)?

Take a look at the Relate Items tab. That might be what you are looking for. What version Remedy are you using?

When you imported the file, the system generated unique identifiers in the BMC:AssetBase form.

You now have to extract that information and start creating a mapping file between those unique ID's and the SHR:People data.

Then you can import that file to the AST:AssetPeople form. That's it.

There are some knowledge base entries about this on the Remedy Customer Support site. Take a look
