HI All,

I Installed Oracle in my Computer and named the database as OracleDB and after that i Installed Admin and user tools of Remedy 5.1 Respectively and when i try to login into the remedy tool using the User Demo. Its throwing error saying unable to find the servers availible for login.

I am not getting the error
i) Is there any neccessity to create any User in Oracle DB
ii) Do i need to give any TCP or RPC Numbers(Default values)

Please suggest me.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks,
Satish

Satish,

You need to install the AR Server. During that installation, it will ask for the connection information for your Oracle install. Once you have provided that, it will install to the oracle instance. When it's all done, restart the Remedy service and then login to the UT and AT as Demo w/ no password.

The TCP Port is only needed if you assign one during the server install.

You can find all of this information in the Installing-630.pdf (for ARS 6.3) and the Installing-700.pdf (for ARS 7.0) documents available on SupportWeb (http://supportweb.remedy.com).

I hope that answers your question!
