Hello,

My customers who are on a seperate network are getting the following error message from the Mid-Tier (v6.3).

Unable to set-up data connection which is preventing the application from working correctly. (ARERR 9351)

Of course I am not seeing this error message (accessing from different network) and everyone (including Remedy support) is blaming the network but I can find no fault in network performance. Any tips or request for additional info will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

May be a firewall issue...

So far everyone seems to deny responsibility for a firewall being at fault. Either way they don't always get the error message.

Hi,

You need to check your network :
There are errors on network?
Which route is used?
There are errors on firewalls?
There are errors on routers?
...

Check the connectivity and your cables...

If it were only that simple this customer is nearly 300 miles away. We are not seeing any errors on our side and they are adamant that it isn't any fault of theirs.

Is your data and your web server on two different domains? We recently had a similar problem when the DNS records changed. Restarting all three servers seemed to help, tho I don't know what changes took place on the network side. I suspect one of the machines' domains was left out of the DNS update.

HTH,
Mike
