What JDk and Servelet Exec are needed to make Remedy Mid Tier 7.0 work?

I was installing BMC Remedy Mid Tier 7.0, and I got an error messages 1.
"A compatible JDk was not found on this system which is required for this product to work properly".

2. "Servelet Exec not installed"


What JDK, or Java Version, do I need to make the Remedy Mid Tier 7.0 work?

You can find all the necessary information in the Installation and Configuration guides... as well as the Compatibility Matrix.

During my last test build, I used JDK 1.5_06 (something like that), and the latest builds of Apache & Tomcat. Went in beautifully, and is extremely fast.

I have installed the Mid Tier 7.0. But I could not login as Demo at the login screen. I got the error message.
" The following error(s) occurred while trying to process your request: ARERR [623]
Authentication failed " when login in thro' the Mid Tier 7.0. My webserver is Tomcat 5.5. Could someone help me. I can login successfully (as Demo) into Remedy Admin 7.0 and Remedy User 7.0. Please help.

Did you choose to use the bundled servlet option? If you choose the second option you may need to install it manually.

Also you have to sync the midtier password in BMC admin tool under server information.
Also make sure in midtier config, that the authentication is pointing to the ARsystem server.
