Not on AIX, we are on Solaris. We use the Oracle 8.1.7 client binaries and tell Remedy the database is on a remote server.

We have been running since November with no problems. My DBA told me we
should use at least 10g release2 (10.2.0.1.0) since Oracle fixed some
issues in it (We put it on in Feb and still no issues).

Excellent. Did you see any performance increases with the upgrade?

Did you see any performance improvements w/ using 10G over 9i or
whatever you were using before?

There was some performance increase on 10g. (We didn't tax the 9i
database before so it hasn't been reported by the users as havine
improved).
