I'm wondering if anyone can lend a hand with this problem...
I am attempting to set up a 'Mailto' link on a form. It all works well in the User Tool but fails on the Mid-Tier. Here are the details:
ARS 6.00.01.1473
Mid-Tier 6.00.01.1473 (default IIS set-up)
Windows Server 2000
MS SQL Server 2000
The request from the Help desk was to have a link next to a user's mailname so the advisers can send an email out via their default mail client. I have created a Text field which is blank and hidden to start with. Workflow, on display, creates the mailto URL in a hidden display-only field based on the value of the mailname field:
A Set Fields action sets field 'url' to "
Send Email"
A Change Field action then sets the label of the text field to the value of the 'url' field and makes the field visible.
As mentioned earlier, this all works wonderfully in the User Tool, displaying the text 'Send Email' and then opening up the mail client (Thunderbird in my case) with the user's mailname in the email address in the To: field. When I try this in the Mid-Tier the whole
I have scoured the manuals, search through the ARList archive and even looked in the Remedy KnowledgeBase but cannot find a solution.
Any ideas?
