Tim,
You selling point is not that is does documentation..
I think it is that it does Everything Else too..
Migrations, Data, .. I think this is its Strong point.. and well.. documentation too.
I like the product..

but Just for documentation only .. it is a little overkill for me..

Nothing against the Product.. at all. I like the product..

sorry for not getting the pricing wrong.... 2.2 K is not that much.. thanks..

Zandi et al

Panacea Workflow Studio pricing will depend on how many servers you need to run the tool against , which features you want enabled and also the type of site you are. We offer educational sites / non-profit sites discounts of 50 %.

Pricing is all on our web-site www.pws-europe.com.

For the requirements Dwayne outlined the price would be $ 2250 for a single server license not $ 11 K ;-)

Cheers

The Sync Search is only for use within the Admin tool. Given that the data is on Remedy forms, it could be exported to, say, Excel, and sorted and searched on from there, I suppose. Someone skilled at and patient with formatting could probably make a report out of it. I haven't tried it, though.

Rick,

Have you tried to pull off user readable reports from the Sync database tables? I'm sure you need a documentation tool to do that as the information contained in the sync database tables is only relationship between various ARS objects...

Dear Remedy users,

Anybody have a good Remedy documentation tool to recommend?

We would like something like ARSDoc, where you can click on a form and
see all its fields, active links, filters, etc. If you pick one of the
fields you can see all the active links, and menus and filters that
reference it. Pick one of the menus and see all the forms/fields that
use it. You can just keep going round and round till you have all the
info you need.

Unfortunately ARSDoc isn't available for 6.3 so we are considering
buying a commercial product that will get updated as Remedy gets
updated. I would like to hear from happy customers, but will also
listen to any company that would like to sell us their product.

ARInside is FANTASTIC! and exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you, Matt and Zandi (and anyone else I've missed) for telling me
about it, and thanks especially to Stefan Nerlich for making it
available FREE!

Thanks also to everybody who suggested other products. It is good
having info about them on hand.

Gratefully yours,

Try Panacea workflow studios. I have been using for a few years and
could not get along without it. Plus it is backward compatible with 5.x
and maybe even 4.5.2

Dwayne,

The most "like ARSDoc" product for 6.3 that I've seen is ARInside. I don't
know if Stefan is still working on the code or not (his website has been
down for a month or more now), but I have placed the last code-drop that I
had from him into my download area. Feel free to go grab it and try it out.

Remedy Application Explorer has been replaced with Remedy Developer Plus. I hope that in v7, they'll add some more to the toolset in RDP. It's ok now, but could be improved.

Just a recommendation: do not run while everyone is logged in..
It might just make your system unusable during its processing.... It is
LOAD tester that is for sure.
