I have a development server running Win2K that has 3 different versions of Remedy running...5.1.2, 6.0, and 6.3 all running simultaneously

The problem is that only one version of the executable can be running at a time - which will it be? You can have multiple ARS platforms in the same DBMS, but they have to be able to run independently of one another.

Hi, We have two instances of Remedy 5.1.2 installed on a HP-UX server with HD 4.0, AM 4.0, CM 4.0
Now the other instance users wanted to upgrade to ARS 6.3. Will there be any problem of having 5x and 6.3 instances on the same server?
This is very urgent. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly, the only thing you can't do is have multiple installations of the ITSM apps (pre 5.6) on the same server. Versions 5.6+ are ok for having multiple installations on the same server. This limitation had to do with the rappsvc process.

I knew that rappsvc was a problem. So is the ability to run multiple versions only a UNIX feature, or have you found a way to run multiple Windows ARSystem services, too? Rick
