Joe,

I am running version 6.3 and the menu that I concerned is a character menu, I have recreated the Menu workflow in the destination server and it is working fine. The only concern is the second issue that I am facing.
the second issue, the data not migrating for a particular field is still churning my head off. I again tried migrating the whole form. all the fields are getting migrated well with the corresponding data but for one field data is not showing up in the destination server.

Another thing that came up for a different form.. this is the new error:

In a different form while migrating, error 311 is coming up saying some three Field ids are not related to this form(Some other form. Not the one I am trying to migrate). I'll make it more clear. I am migrating form ABC having some fields. one Field nKey is not getting migrated. The Migration report shows error 311 with a message Field ID not present on XYZ Form. I am migrating ABC but the error message points at ABC. This message is coming for three fields of form XYZ. I have checked Form ABC and these fields or these fields id are not there, but def there in FORM XYZ which is not at all related to ABC.

To solve this, I manually created a report from user tool, selected just the nKey field and while importing also got the same error 311 with the same message that fields ids are mot on this XYZ form. I created the .arx file from ABC form.

I did check the error message guide but it did not prove to be of any help.

These forms are designed by someone else so I am not sure why this is happening

Any ideas on this.........

Ankur

Ankur,

This used to happen on ARS version 4.5 but from the user client, wherein you have a perfectly legal length of a string contained in a search menu, and the $MENU$ pattern attributed to a menu field, and it was identified as a bug... What version of the ARS are you on?

You could try removing the patterning attribute, and then migrate - see if that works?

Hi All,

I am perfo rming migration of a Form with around 300 fields. One field was added later and a Menu is attached to it. $MENU$ pattern matching has been done for this field.
Now the issue came up when I used migrator to migrate the form, all related and data. Everything migrated perfectly but this particular field did not and the migrator status report showed an error message :
In the source name: Error #: 306 message: Value does not fall within limits specified for the field (Pattern $MENU$).
I checked this error message in the error message guide and it specified.
The field input length is 30 and the maximum value in the menus for that field is 10. A Character menu is assigned to this field.
I am not even getting this field on the destination.
The field is display only field. I can understand that now data is stored for this field but as a part of the workflow it should have been migrated. Any ideas what can be wrong?

Another issue coming up is with another field which is coming up on the destination, but it is blank. data for this field did not migrate. I have noticed that the particular field does not have a public permission and all other fields have public and other permissions with them. after migration all the fields have got their set of permissions but this field has no permissions associated with it.
this is an integer field. Is this the reason for data for that field field not getting migrated. while there is no error message in the migrator status report. This is crucial.

I checked the migrator object detail report, it showed 90% of the fields as red( are different) but in the destination all the fields are just the same with the appropriate data.
what does this mean?
