What is your setup like? Is it a Server Group kind of a setup? I do not think it should fail getting server information even if you have a server group setup as you only cannot modify server information but it should allow you to do a get.
Another thing worth checking is to query the usercache for the user in question, you probably have something out of sync between the user visible User form and the usercache table. Check to see if the user in question has a Fixed license and Administrative privileges in the usercache table.

Subject: +GSI API FAIL
**
Good day everyone,
Can anyone shed some light on this? The API seems to fail although the SQL statement does actually return a value. I have tried and arreload but it does not seem to make any difference.
The weird thing is that is happens multiple times but it does not seem to affect the outcome of my query (I am running a simple query on SHR:Assignment)
/* Fri Dec 30 2005 10:20:01.0857 */+GSI ARGetServerInfo -- as user michael.worts
/* Fri Dec 30 2005 10:20:01.0858 */SELECT userName,password,authUserName,authString,notifyMech,licType,licTypeFText,licTypeReserv1,email,shortGroup,longGroup,timestamp FROM usercache WHERE userName = 'michael.worts'
/* Fri Dec 30 2005 10:20:01.0868 */COMMIT WORK
/* Fri Dec 30 2005 10:20:01.0886 */-GSI FAIL
Thanks and have a Happy New Year!
Mike.
