Hi folks:

I was hoping someone could settle an issue. I was talking with another developer recently, and he claims it is possible to "test out" of the RSP certification. That is, you can just take the test for the RSP, and if you pass, you're certified. I, on the other hand, thought that no matter what you had to take all the associated courses--even if you've been working with Remedy for 10 years.

Who's right?

Thanks,
Norm

Well, if the RSP is like the RAC, you can't. And from what I understand, the RSP is just the RAC for non-partners.

Norm,

When I took the test you could not "just take the test".
However, I guess that the policy could have changed.

The best way to find out.. is to ask BMC directly.

SkilledPro@remedy.com

However the web site still indicates:
"
Requirements and Enrollment

# Complete required product training (View Roadmap for AR System)
# Complete and pass Remedy Skilled Professional Certification Course
# Maintain designation through follow-on training

After completing the enrollment process, the Remedy Skilled
Professional Coordinator will work with you to schedule your training.
"

( So it sounds like you have to complete the course work to me. )
